FAQ

What is the process?

The first step is making sure your pet is happy and comfortable, because a happy pet will reward us with amazing images. I will take the time to allow your pet to become comfortable in their environment and with my camera gear. For pets who are skittish and do not warm up to the camera, I have telephoto lenses so I can stay back, as even the most shy of pets should have their beauty shown in photographs!

After we take some time to get to know each other, we will discuss what images you are looking for (portraits, play, etc.) and we will focus on those, as well as allowing your pet to have freedom, too. They often like to look silly for photos, and we don't want to deny them that!

Typical photo shoots will last 1-2 hours, but we will make sure we end them when your pet is ready to go.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I am in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. I do not have a studio, because I believe pets are best represented in environments they love - and because I find nature to be far more beautiful than a backdrop.

I will meet clients at their home, or at pet-friendly establishments or parks. I am willing to travel farther than Lancaster County, though there will be an additional charge depending on the distance.

When will we get our photos?

I generally have a quick turn around time depending on how busy my schedule is. Paying customers always come first, and I try to have proofs ready within 2 weeks.

Don't worry, though! I will always provide many sneak peaks in advance, and usually have at least one or two previews ready the same day of the shoot!

How many pictures will we receive?

For a typical 1-2 hour session, you can look forward to at least 30-50 proofs, though that can be much greater depending on many factors throughout the shoot.

Can I use photographs before buying?

We ask that you respect that this is a business that keeps my pet's and my food stocked and bills paid. Because of this, photographs should not be used unless you have purchased either a digital or physical copy. If you wish to share proofs with friends or family, please link directly to your client album.
